Criticisms of Friendly Town

The following is a report from a committee meeting in October of 1968 to discuss the success of the Friendly Town program. Major criticisms include 1) the program did not address structural racism 2) meeting with a host family undermined the role of African American fathers as they could not provide the same luxuries as host families.

Do you agree with the criticisms of Friendly Town presented in this report?
